Fay-Ann to get her $1M from Caribbean Prestige Foundation

2009-03-15-5-2_a_faye_annReigning Power Soca Monarch and Groovy Soca Monarch Queen, Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez is to get her full one million dollar payout says the Caribbean Prestige Foundation (CPF).

In a release late yesterday CPF head Gregory Fernandez apologised for his organisation’s “misinterpretation” of the Minister’s position which he said they now recognised as “a recommendation and not a directive.” Continue Reading

Fay-Ann Lyons Has A Baby Girl

Well its official, Fay-Ann had her baby!

SOCA’S ROYAL couple, Ian “Bunji Garlin” Alvarez and his wife Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez are now parents of a baby girl, as Fay-Ann gave birth yesterday afternoon at the Mount Hope Women’s Hospital.

Tobago Jazz Festival No More

tobago_kays_3Instead of the Plymouth Jazz Festival, plans have been unveiled for a five-day “Jazz Experience” according to Secretary of Tourism, Oswald Williams of the Tobago House of Assembly.

Williams acknowledged that Tobago’s economy could suffer considerable negative fallout by the shelving of the Plymouth Jazz Festival, hence the reason for staging the “Jazz Experience.” Continue Reading
