Tobago Jazz Festival No More

Instead of the Plymouth Jazz Festival, plans have been unveiled for a five-day “Jazz Experience” according to Secretary of Tourism, Oswald Williams of the Tobago House of Assembly.
Williams acknowledged that Tobago’s economy could suffer considerable negative fallout by the shelving of the Plymouth Jazz Festival, hence the reason for staging the “Jazz Experience.”

Fay-Ann in Mt Hope hospital

Three-time Road March queen Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez spent last night at the Mt Hope Women’s Hospital, where her doctor ordered she be taken for observation.
Fay Ann’s husband, Ian “Bunji Garlin” Alvarez, said he took her to the maternity hospital at about 7 pm, on the advice of her private doctor after a check-up earlier yesterday.
