Fay-Ann Lyons Has A Baby Girl

fay-ann-and-bunjiFay-Ann Lyons is now the proud mother of a babygirl. She had the baby today at the Mt Hope Hospital, Trinidad and Tobago. Stay tuneded for further updates.

Well its official, Fay-Ann had her baby!

SOCA’S ROYAL couple, Ian “Bunji Garlin” Alvarez and his wife Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez are now parents of a baby girl, as Fay-Ann gave birth yesterday afternoon at the Mount Hope Women’s Hospital.

No US visas till after Summit

trinidad-and-tobago-us-embassyANYONE needing a US visa must apply well ahead of the coming Fifth Summit of the Americas for which the US Embassy shall close its Consular Section for a fortnight, according to an Embassy statement yesterday.

The Consular Section shall be closed from April 6 to April 20, in preparation for the Summit and for the actual event.

The statement said: “All regular non-immigrant visa applicants and American citizens anticipating regular service need to plan accordingly.

“No exceptions for regular services will be allowed.”

The Embassy however added that its Consular Section is always available to help US citizens with life-threatening emergencies at any time.

“American citizens with legitimate emergencies should call (868)-622-6371.”

Tobago Jazz Festival No More

tobago_kays_3Instead of the Plymouth Jazz Festival, plans have been unveiled for a five-day “Jazz Experience” according to Secretary of Tourism, Oswald Williams of the Tobago House of Assembly.

Williams acknowledged that Tobago’s economy could suffer considerable negative fallout by the shelving of the Plymouth Jazz Festival, hence the reason for staging the “Jazz Experience.” Continue Reading

Fay-Ann in Mt Hope hospital

fay-ann-lyons-alvarezThree-time Road March queen Fay-Ann Lyons-Alvarez spent last night at the Mt Hope Women’s Hospital, where her doctor ordered she be taken for observation.

Fay Ann’s husband, Ian “Bunji Garlin” Alvarez, said he took her to the maternity hospital at about 7 pm, on the advice of her private doctor after a check-up earlier yesterday. Continue Reading
